MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE:
I'm sure you are all wondering, "Why are you so 'obsessed' with vaccines & circumcision!?" As a Christian mother of three little boys, I have a story to tell regarding both, although I like to consider myself 'passionate' about these things! ;) I was a young mother, having my first son at the age of 18 & my second at 21. I did give birth to them naturally & breastfed them for a few months, but when it came to vaccination & circumcision, it was a no-brainer for me at the time. I was always told by family, friends & even my doctor that those two things were "healthy", "responsible" decisions & of course I only wanted to do what was "best" for my children.
That is until my oldest son suddenly developed a speech disorder, just days after getting his 2 year shots, where he literally started losing his words, his words became very difficult to understand & he eventually had to start going to speech therapy. They simply diagnosed him with "Moderate Childhood Apraxia of Speech," with no underlying cause & it still never occurred to me that the vaccines could somehow be linked. He is 6 now, and although he has made tremendous progress, still requires an IEP in school. When my second son received his 4 month shots, just two hours later, he began having unexplained seizures. He had to get an EEG & an MRI, with no answers. That is when some Internet friends suggested that it could be vaccines. I was very stubborn & skeptical at first, but was shocked to learn the truth.
His seizures finally stopped after several months & neither of them has gotten a shot since he was 6 months old, my youngest has never had any, and after years of educating myself, he never will. I also blindly followed my peers when it came to circumcision, having my first two sons' genitals cut against their will & both encountered minor problems. Chase had reoccurring infections & rashes, and Carson had to have his remaining foreskin forcefully retracted. It broke my heart to hear their screams while having the procedure done; I felt helpless, but thought it "had" to be done. I am proud to say after finding out that it did not in fact 'have' to be done, and again, after years of research, my last & third son is still intact the way God created him!

The 2013 CDC Recommended Immunization Schedule for children ages 0-6 years old includes 38+ Total Vaccines. That's a lot of toxins, with ingredients such as: Aluminum, Formaldehyde, Phenol, Mercury, Antibiotics, as well as various animal & aborted fetal tissue. (More Vaccine Ingredients) The risks & side effects are more harmful than the disease they are supposed to protect against, and the effectiveness is questionable at best. You can check out the latest data from VAERS, Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, to learn more!
So, you may ask, how can the Bible have scriptures or verses about vaccinations, since they weren't even invented yet? Well, it doesn't about that specific subject, but it does have things pertaining to the topic. In 1 Corinthians 6:19, it says that our bodies are the temple of God & we are to care for it as such. So why would we inject toxic chemicals into them? We are supposed to trust Him to keep us healthy, not man (Psalm 118:8). Mark 2:17 says that it is not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick. He is the Great Physician!
In Leviticus 11, it speaks of "unclean" animals, even though that is Old Testament, these types of animals are used to make some vaccines, such as cow extract/protein/serum, DNA & even baby cow blood! Monkey kidney tissue & baby chick embryos are also used, but why?? "MRC-5 DNA & Cellular Protein" a.k.a aborted human fetal lung tissue, is the most controversial ingredient used for many Christians & Pro-lifers. It is used in the DtAP & Hepatitis A vaccines, amongst many others. ~Combined shots are most lethal.
As with vaccines, the Bible doesn't specifically address abortion, but in Jeremiah 1:5, God says that He knew us even before He created us in the womb, and in chapter 29 verse 11 it goes on to say that He has a plan for us. Psalm 139:13-16 speaks of how He created us. In the very beginning, He created us in His image & therefore, we should not kill one another, Genesis 9:6. But in Exodus 21:22-25, it does say that if anyone causes the death of an unborn baby, they deserve death as if they were a murderer.
The Bible also contains several verses indicating that all children are a blessing, a gift from God; Psalm 127:3-5. Matthew 18:10 tells us not to despise them & Mark 10:14, not to hinder them. These things can be taken in different contexts, but one fact remains, God has given them to us & expects us to care for them, to the best of our ability. We are forever responsible for them. We will be held accountable for them one day.
Circumcision is an unnecessary, cosmetic, surgical procedure that removes the prepuce (or foreskin) from the penis. Today, only 33% of American males are circumcised & 67% remain intact, and over 80% of men are whole world-wide. It began as a religious sacrifice, a rite of passage as boys enter into adulthood, but also as punishment to prevent masturbation. Studies have found that approximately 117 neonatal (first 28 days after birth) circumcision-related deaths occur annually in the United States, which is greater than SIDS or automobile accidents combined. Bleeding, infection & penile deformity are the most common complications cited. The foreskin contains over 20,000 nerves; removal of which can have a great negative impact on sexual function and pleasure. It does not reduce the risk of STDs, UTIs, or AIDS, and has actually recently been proven to increase these risks, as well as erectile dysfunction, penile cancer, etc.
I could go on & on about this topic, with scientific research, but if you would like to learn more information, please go to Intact America, No Circ, Doctors Opposing Circumcision, The Whole Network & Peaceful Parenting; There is even a "WHOLE Christian Network" on Facebook! You can also watch a video of a newborn circumcision HERE. Not to mention it directly violates the child's human rights, since it is his body, it should be his choice, just as most Christians & Pro-lifers agree regarding abortion. If you make this decision for him without medical reason, you are permanently altering his body, emotional/mental state & life forever.
I'm sure you are all aware that the Bible speaks of circumcision being a covenant between the believer & God, since the beginning of time. But what does it say in the New Testament, after Jesus died for our sins & we were sanctified by His blood? In Acts 15, Peter calls circumcision "an unbearable yoke" & speaks of matters of the heart, being saved by faith, not by the law. 1 Corinthians 7:18-20 says it best, "Was a man already circumcised when he was called? He should not become uncircumcised. Was a man uncircumcised when he was called? He should not be circumcised. Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God’s commands is what counts. Each person should remain in the situation they were in when God called them." In Colossians 2-3, it confirms that we receive salvation through Jesus & not by circumcision, done by human hands. Paul even calls it "mutilation" in Philippians 3! "For there are many rebellious people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group." -Titus 1:10.
Also, circumcision of the Bible & the circumcision of our culture today are two totally different things. Until about 140 A.D., traditional Jews only cut the tip of the foreskin, on the eighth day after birth. This was called Milah (or Brit/Bris Milah). The modern circumcision we are all familiar with is called Peri’ah. This type of circumcision is not what God intended in the Old Testament, where the entire foreskin is removed, exposing a sensitive open wound!
In John 7:22-24, Jesus talks about how man were created "every bit whole." I trust God when He says that we are "fearfully & wonderfully made." (Psalm 139:14) And that we are made perfect "in His image." (Genesis 1:27) Our bodies being a temple of the Lord can also apply in this situation. "But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be"... (1 Corinthians 12:18)
