ABOUT THE DOULA

Brandi Eversole, CD(DONA)
I am 25-year-old mother to three little boys, and a DONA Trained Birth Doula, but have chosen not to complete certification, due to personal reasons, and will continue my work as an independent doula. I wanted to become a labor support person after giving birth to my first son, because it was such a profound, empowering experience. I have always had a passion for birth, as well as helping others, and feel it is truly my calling. I started out using the internet as a tool to educate women about pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, parenting, etc. I perceive birthing as a normal, yet miraculous event and I am always honored to share it with those expecting.

I started pursuing my dream of becoming a doula in 2010, three years ago, and have since been attending births. I have spent several years reading numerous books, doing private research, taken a Lamaze Childbirth Education course and  Prenatal Care Plus three times at the local birth center. I have also completed all of my certification requirements including a thirty hour DONA Approved Birth Doula Workshop in 2011. I am working on becoming a Christian Childbirth Educator (although I do not discriminate against people with different beliefs), and Placenta Encapsulation Specialist.

I have attended hospital births with obstetricians, as well as birth center and home births with midwives. I offer reduced rates for teens, single moms, and military families. I am currently taking two clients per month, in the surrounding Savannah area, and my fees are negotiable. I respect, support, and encourage women, along with reassuring their partners, and working together as a team. My goal is to ensure my clients have the best birth possible!

(I have a back-up doula in the rare event that I am not able to attend your birth:
Jessica Holder, with Sublime Birthing.)

"Every woman deserves a doula!"
